how do I apply for a low interest credit card
Should I get rid of a credit card that I charged a monthly maintenance fee?

A few years ago I had horrible credit and could not obtain a larger loan or cc or nothing. I turned to the dark side and sought a high limit low interest cc to charge me an annual fee over $ 18 with a monthly maintenance fee, which I know is stupid, but I had to start somewhere to rebuild my credit. I rebuilt my credit to the range of 690 and still increasing so just curious to know if anyone can tell me how long I have to keep this outrageously awful cc? I will not pay a dime to this company but really really do not want to have a negative impact on my credit report. Thanks for your time.

If your credit is 690, which need not be reported that charge $ 18 per month. You should be able to get a card with a decent rate and no annual fee. Look at local banks and credit unions. These banks have not been exposed themselves to the current financial catastrophe through adherence to the conventional banking managers ….. as not to give a mortgage of $ 300k to someone with credit history poor and low income. Close your account with this company and make sure your account is closed. Send a letter to the company as soon as possible and keep a copy in case not conform to their desires to terminate the account. Get a copy of your credit report. Each year, you are entitled to a free credit report. Go to annualcreditreport.com. Good lucky
